Winter brought the rain like never before in Southern California this year and with the rain came the butterflies. We arrived at The Grand Tradition Estate to photograph Amanda + James’s wedding at the Beverly Mansion and the butterflies flooded the air, I think I will forever associate their wedding day with the hundreds of Monarchs fluttering through the manicured grounds of The Grand Tradition. Just when you think it couldn’t get more whimsical than butterflies, a ton of tiny rainbows danced across the floors of her bridal suite. It was truly a magical day. Amanda and James had an intimate Thursday wedding at The Grand Tradition. Amanda arrived at the ceremony by horse drawn carriage. The guests all looked on as she exited the carriage, and James eyes glimmered as Amanda stepped to the aisles edge. The wedding ceremony was heartfelt, they each prepared their own vows and together built a unity cross symbolizing their union. After the ceremony we adventured around the grounds at The Grand Tradition. The sunlight caught in Amanda’s veil as James surprised her and us with a dip and a kiss for his new bride. After doing the couples wedding portraits we returned them to the Beverly Mansion for their grand entrance into their wedding reception. This was a dancing crowd! We caught a mid-air flip photo and some with the little ones doing slides on their knees across the dance floor. Nothing better than a Thursday crowd that can get down (our kind of people). We took the newlyweds outside The Grand Tradition for some nighttime portraits and had a bit of fun with some sparklers (love when our couples want to get creative!). We enlisted the help of the bridal party to do some light writing with sparklers. These two were so much fun and just brimming with ideas. The night ended with Amanda changing into a getaway gown and the guests cheering them on as they formed a glowstick tunnel. A colorful end to a whimsical wedding. Wishing the newlyweds all of the happiness in the world we hope your love continues to take you around the globe!

Here’s what Amanda and James had to say after receiving their wedding gallery:

“We cannot express the gratitude we feel towards our amazing photographers for capturing all the emotions and love on our wedding day. I would advise that if anyone is looking for a wedding photographer in Cali to shoot them a message! They were the most enjoyable people for both me and my husband. We felt 💯 taking photos!”
