643 G Street San Diego, California 92101 is now home to the special event and wedding venue known as The Pannikin Building. This little gem located in San Diego’s Gaslamp quarter is a far cry from the baby pink retail space it was when we first met it one year ago. Since undergoing new ownership The Pannikin Building has transformed into the historic downtown San Diego venue it was always destined to be. A fresh paint job on the exterior and the removal of the clothing racks and changing rooms have revealed the timeless beauty of The Pannikin’s exposed brick walls, vaulted ceilings, exposed ductwork and beams all accented by the venues real hardwood floors which seem to go on endlessly in the venues massive event space.

We were honored to be invited to photograph a wedding inspiration shoot showing off the new space. We were able to work with some of the top creatives in the San Diego wedding industry and collaborate to show off what a gorgeous wedding venue the Pannikin building is. Lindsey Dean Events coordinated the wedding inspiration shoot and together with the styling, florals and rentals from TBD San Diego the space became a vision for a fresh, romantic wedding with an unexpected color palette. The Pannikin Buildings exposed brick walls are honestly beautiful enough to be a wedding ceremony backdrop all their own but draped in dozens of flickering candles it was beyond romantic.

If you are looking for a little inspiration for planning your wedding look no further, this creative team has got you covered! From the playful color palette incorporating my personal favorite color of life, mustard to the organic flower arrangements this styled wedding shoot was chic as could be. I can close my eyes and imagine an evening ceremony and reception in downtown San Diego at The Pannikin Building looking something like this. Perfect for the summer the large double doors could be open allowing the fresh air into the open space. Warm lights strung over head in the loft like space giving your guests that city vibe. The downstairs space has one of the coolest bars we have seen with a huge Cheers marquee sign illuminating the exposed beams. It would also be the perfect location for a speakeasy themed wedding.

Check out our other blogs featuring The Pannikin Building to get an idea of just how versatile this wedding venue truly is, from a more boho vibe to full luxury glam the sky is truly the limit here.
