Alex and Bobby’s wedding at The Wedgewood in Fallbrook was one for the storybooks, an epic first kiss as husband and wife, hands down the most emotional wedding toasts by her father and one heck of a party on the dance floor made this wedding a stand out. We love when we get the opportunity to photograph weddings in our hometown of Fallbrook, yes we have Fallbrook pride for our little town whose slogan is “the friendly village.” Also it’s the avocado capital of the nation and avocados are the best.

This was the first wedding we ever photographed at Wedgewood in Fallbrook and we must say the grounds are inspiring. Almost as inspiring as our sweet couple Alex & Bobby. We started the day at Lawrence Welk Resort where the bridal party was getting ready. Mimosa’s were flowing in the bridal suite where the bride and her bridesmaids were getting glammed up by Rachelle & Amy from Socal Hair and Makeup. Meanwhile the guys were kicking back and being goofy, per usual.

This group of groomsmen were so much fun. We loved how some of the bridal party portraits turned out with the groomsmen pulling the legs of the groom as he clutched a golf cart for dear life. Meanwhile the bridesmaids slipped into their Vera Wang dresses from David’s Bridal while Alex got into her wedding dress from Illusion Bridal. We grabbed some bridal party portraits with the bride and her maids before preparing for the wedding ceremony. The couple said the I do’s and sealed the deal with the an epic dip of a first kiss as husband and wife.

During cocktail hour we snuck the couple away for some wedding photos during golden hour. The grounds at the Wedgewood in Fallbrook were perfect. The trees on the property had all of the beautiful orangey colors making for some beautiful wedding portraits. After photographing the newlyweds it was time to return them for their grand entrance.

The reception and ceremony site were decorated with gorgeous florals by one of our favorite florists, Robyn from The Social Flower CA. Beautiful blush pinks and creamy white were accented by the gold chargers at the wedding reception. After their grand entrance it was time for toasts and Alex’s father had us all blinking back tears as he told the story of carrying her baby socks during deployment to smell and remember her by. Just when we thought we couldn’t have our hearts melt anymore he pulled out a little Zip-loc bag containing those same little baby socks, and we were ready to go through a box of tissues.

After that the dance floor opened up and this wedding had a dancing bunch! We loved all of the fun candid photos we captured on the dance floor. We snuck the couple away once more for some night photography in front of the beautiful fountain at Wedgewood. It was the perfect end to a beautiful beginning. Wishing the newlyweds all of the love, it was an honor to photograph your wedding day.
