Mel + Alek’s wedding at The Wood Shed by Booze Brothers in Vista, CA was infused with heart felt details and modern bohemian flair. The Wood Shed by Booze Brothers was the perfect setting for these beer lovers! The smaller wedding venue was packed to the brim with friends, family and love. The laid back vibe at the Wood Shed had everyone relaxed and enjoying their time at Booze Brothers before the wedding ceremony began.

Alek + Mel opted to do a first look beneath the outdoor arbor at The Woodshed. Mel floated over to Alek in her gorgeous tulle wedding gown by Watters from BHLDN. We were loving Alek’s groom style with his burgundy tux which really complimented the couples wedding colors and flowers. This couple had planned for having a lot of free time in their wedding day timeline which, as wedding photographers we were so thankful for! It really allows for us to take our time getting them the best wedding and family portraits and allows them to soak it all in. The wedding day goes by so fast we were happy Mel + Alek were able to just enjoy a bit of alone time together. We loved how the couple incorporated the brewery wedding venue and their love for beer into the wedding decor. There were growlers lit with fairy lights and some filled with flowers lining the ceremony aisle and on the reception tables. The wood pallet wall ceremony backdrop was accented by gorgeous floor floral installations with Pampas grass created by Blooms by Breesa Lee.

The ceremony was officiated by Mel’s brother and I have to say I think it was one of the funniest while still being heartfelt wedding ceremonies I’ve ever photographed. We have seen such a wedding trend this year of couples being married by a friend or family member and we absolutely love it! When the person marrying you really knows you it naturally lends itself to a very funny and heartfelt wedding ceremony.

During cocktail hour we took the couple outside around Booze Brothers and The Wood Shed for some night shots. We returned them shortly after to get the party started with the grand entrance into the wedding reception. The dance floor was packed all night until the sparkler exit at the end of the night. Alek spun and dipped his bride beneath the shimmering sparklers as the perfect nightcap to a perfect day. We are wishing these two all of the love and laughter!! Cheers to good beer and many years you guys!
