One thing that we love about being located out of San Diego, California (other than the obvious, sunny, beaches and tacos!) is the opportunity to photograph the weddings of the brave men and women in our armed forces. We feel blessed to live so close to Camp Pendleton which allows us to encounter so many amazing military couples.

This spring wedding at Cordiano Winery in Escondido, California was one of those opportunities that we will never forget.  Tyler has devoted himself to protecting our country in the United States Army, and now has devoted himself to a lifelong love of Hannah. We couldn’t feel more blessed to have captured all of their special moments.

Emily & Ryan arrived at Hannah’s mother’s house in the morning (emily a little earlier then Ryan to get a head start on the makeup).  Surrounded by family and friends Hannah’s excitement was easily seen with smiles and laughter.  The mirrors all around the house made for amazing shots with otherwise impossible angles.  After some hair and makeup it was time to put on the dress. Mom, grandma and friends fought to hold back the tears.

Heading over to the guys house there were less tears but no less excitement.  It was a real honor to watch as Tyler placed his medals onto his dress uniform and polished his shoes.

The ceremony took place on Cordiano Winery’s beautiful terrace ceremony site, with windows surrounding the entire space revealing the beautiful views over the vineyards.  It was incredible to watch as Hannah was walked down the aisle by her great grandparents.  It was really touching to see the emotion on Tyler’s face as Hannah turned the corner and approached him.

After the ceremony, Ryan had the opportunity to steal Hannah and Tyler for some photos around the grounds. Hannah was a real trooper off-roading through the vines in her dress and it made for some really special moments.

We have worked with many wedding coordinators over the years, but we have to say Kim at Cordiano is definitely one of the best. She brings a really positive and calming attitude to the day, arranges gorgeous table settings and florals, and even MAKES THE CAKE!  You can tell Kim and her staff love what they do, and their guests love them for it too!

Have you ever gone to a wedding where nobody dances?  Well this was not the case on this day.  Everyone was having a blast dancing to music supplied by the very talented and fun Brian Lehmer of Monkeys and Bananas Entertainment.

Ryan had been keeping an eye out the windows, with excitement building as the sun cast gold across the vineyard. Like a cherry on top of a perfect day Ryan, Hannah and Tyler made their way to the highest point of the vineyards to capture a few last memories of their big day!

We would like to personally thank Hannah and Tyler for choosing to make memories with Emry.  We are so excited for you two and the journey you are embarking on in Hawaii.
