Dreamy Field Engagement in Fallbrook, California

Danielle and Jonathan drove all the way from Los Angeles, California to Fallbrook for their engagement session. It’s definitely a drive but for Danielle who works in the event planning industry but well worth it. North County, San Diego has everything she dreamed of in a wedding venue. Danielle and Jonathan are getting married at Aviation Vineyards wedding venue in Temecula, California in the fall. We wanted to emulate the gorgeous rustic vibe of the couples wedding venue for their engagement session. The field near our home in Fallbrook, California proved to be the perfect spot for photos with that dreamy field vibe.

We met Danielle and Jonathan at our house and the four of us hiked up the hillside near our home to get some beautiful engagement photos. The winds were definitely high that day but we loved how it makes the photos come to life. Part of the field fell victim to the Lilac fire, which made for unique photo opportunities against the burnt tree trunks. After the field we headed over to the horse trails and pond near our home for an outfit change & some more formal engagement photos. By this time, golden hour had graced us with its presence and as photographers we were going crazy over the light.

We love taking our couples out for their engagement sessions just before golden hour when the California light drenches everything in the most beautiful golden hue. It especially looks flattering in contrast to the creamy colored field and horse trail that we often use for engagement sessions in Fallbrook. The couple opted for two outfits as well, which always looks great when you have a change of location. We loved the casual vibe in the field and the more formal feel near the horse trail. Another tidbit we would love to share is that if you feel like you need to loosen up before your engagement session and calm some nerves have a glass of wine before your shoot. Danielle and Jonathan came prepared and enjoyed a nice glass of rose` while Emily did Danielle’s makeup. We just love the way these engagement photos came out! Danielle and Jonathan were so easy to work with and we cannot wait for their wedding this Fall at Aviation Vineyards.
