The Wedding…

Our wedding photography and videography team ascended on the private Temecula estate perched a top the rolling hills of Temecula on October 27th. 10/27 would prove to have significant meaning for Jon & Danielle’s wedding. We discovered the couple met while working at iHeart Radio 102.7 Radio station, and had their first date on October 27th so what day could be more perfect for making it official. Hidden in the hills of Temecula, California Danielle & Jon’s wedding expanded upon the organic allure of marble. Textured gray linens, flickering candles and brushed gold metallics accented the muted color palette. The over all feel of the wedding was elevated simplicity. The florals were clean and crisp with white, black eyed anemones and fresh greens. Danielle’s Pronovias gown had a light almost effortless way about it. The simple silhouette featured refined lace and an off the shoulder fit that really showed what a fashion forward bride Danielle is. Her veil an heirloom, passed on by her mother we love how it infused her attire with sentiment.

After getting ready Danielle opted for a first look with her father. We love these! The emotion is just so wonderful and we couldn’t wipe the smiles off of our faces seeing how she lit up seeing her father before he would walk her down the aisle. Jon also did a first look but with his mother, we absolutely loved this! Jon was the first groom we have ever photographed doing a first look with his mom, it was wonderful to see the groom having a moment between just him and his mother. While Danielle and Jon saved the first look for down the aisle they did do what we call a first look, no look. We positioned Danielle at the top of the stairs in the airport hangar wedding venue. Jon approached the staircase but never joined her at the top, instead the couple just shared a few words before becoming husband and wife.

Danielle was escorted down the aisle by her father, I loved seeing her head rested upon the shoulder of her father before they embarked on their walk down the aisle. Jon’s emotion was beautiful, the fusion of his smile and tears rolling down his cheek had us wrapped up in his emotion as he saw his bride walking towards him at the wedding ceremony. The two shared their vows in front of friends & family. Holding hands beneath the wooden arbor dressed in green swag and rod iron chandeliers overhead. Set at the bottom of the mountains in the sprawling Temecula wedding estate, it was truly picturesque.

A Cuban band performed during cocktail hour as an ode to the couple’s favorite vacation destination. Dinner was served under California skies, a fete beneath the crystal stars. The garden surroundings illuminated by the twinkling lights strewn above. We loved how the reception décor drew on the natural beauty of the Temecula estate. It was an honor to be behind the lens capturing every detail and chasing the days dreamy light.

Ryan and I became wedding photographers because we are drawn to weddings for the stories they tell. It is so rewarding to be creating a thread of history. That is why we love hearing about the lives behind our couples, how they met, the proposal, what magic brought them together and how they have kept in rhythm with one another. Danielle & Jon’s story is one of strong friendship turned into deep love.

The Love Story…

It all started the morning of the American Music Awards… Jon and Danielle were both working Kiis Fm’s gifting suite at the JW Marriott at LA Live. One of their mutual friends – Nelson – told Jon he had to meet the “new girl.” This is where their story started…

For months, Jon (along with his cousin Marc) would drive over an hour to visit Danielle at LMU and go out with her sorority sisters in Hermosa Beach. But they were always “just friends.”

One night, Jon thought it was a great idea to (drunk) text Danielle at 3am and tell her how much he liked her and wanted to take her out on a date. Sadly, he was friend zoned.

A few months passed and they were in Las Vegas working the iHeartRadio Music Festival. Something clicked that weekend and Danielle realized that maybe, just maybe, she had a crush on Jon now too. She took Jon up on his offer to take her out on a first date (they might have also drunkenly kissed in front of all their coworkers and figured they’d probably should just try the whole dating thing out)…

…They Spent The Next Five Years Together…

They Went To Coachella (many times)…

Traveled The World Together & Discovered One Of Their Favorite Places, Cuba…

And Then, On One Of Their Most Epic Trips Together, They Got Engaged!

On the beautiful island of Capri, Jon finally proposed to Danielle.

*We won’t mention that Jon proposed with the box upside down*

Congratulations to you two! Thank you for letting us be a part of it!
