As wedding photographers we love everything revolving around celebrating love. I mean that’s why we dove head first into the wedding industry in the first place. Celebrating love doesn’t always have to come in the form of a wedding celebration. In fact, vow renewals are one of our new favorite wedding trends. We can’t wait to photograph more vow renewals in the near future. In fact, this sweet couple has inspired us to want to do a vow renewal ourselves. There is just something about a couple choosing to celebrate one, five, ten, or in Jill & Steve’s case 16 years together with a vow renewal. In a time where the world can be crazy and permanence seems fleeting a beautiful vow renewal reaffirms our belief in true love and gives us all of the feels at the same time. Jill was able to plan the most beautiful vow renewal ceremony and lunch reception in two months flat! The couple renewed their vows to one another at Mariner’s Church in Irvine where they had been long-term congregation members. It was an amazing ceremony, mostly because it was so tailored to the two of them. The pastor really did a fantastic job of illustrating the deep love this couple has for one another. It was intimate, close friends and family and the couples sweet toddler, Jaxon. Who we just could not get enough photos of. After the ceremony we headed over to Surf and Sand Resort in Laguna and we must say the backdrop of turquoise waters, crashing waves and soaring seagulls was nothing short of picturesque. Just give us a hammock and we could have lived on that back patio! Jill and her father shared in the sweetest dance that had guests with napkins pressed their faces as tears streamed down. It was a beautiful moment to photograph. Family and friends dined, danced and sipped into the evening as the waves crashed onto the beach. It was so great to be let in on this intimate gathering celebrating the love of Jill & Steve. We aspire to have as much love and happiness between and around us as this couple has built over sixteen years together.
