What’s your all-time favorite love story? I am such a sucker for a beautifully told romantic film, I think that my all-time favorite couple would have to be Noah and Allie from The Notebook. There is just something to me that is so romantic about a love story with such a rich history. When young love evolves into soul mates in a story of coming back together when the time was just right.

Jen and David’s love story has all of the hallmarks of my favorite kind of love story and I can’t wait to share it with you. They selected Chapin Family Vineyards as the beautiful backdrop for their wedding day. Chapin Family Vineyard’s ten sprawling acres was the perfect elegant setting for Jen and David’s timeless wedding. Having married in June the blooming vines painted the rolling hills a vibrant green it is the perfect time of the year for a winery wedding in Temecula.

The beautiful landscape is surrounded by rolling hills which creates such an intimate and private feel from other Temecula vineyards. The Vineyard is located at 36084 Summitville St. Temecula, CA 92592 and is nestled up to a waterfall and Koi pond which make for an amazing wedding portrait photography opportunity.

We are just in love with this couple’s day, all of the little heartfelt details that they poured their hearts into and the beautiful memories that were made that evening have stuck with us. Chapin Family Vineyards holds a special place in Jen and David’s heart as the owners are close family friends. What better place to promise your lives to one another than one that feels like family? We also loved the personal touch of David’s wedding band being his grandfather’s it’s those family heirlooms that can bring so much more meaning and intention to your wedding day.

David’s brother wasn’t able to attend the couple’s wedding due to his service for our country, but he surprised David and Jen during their wedding reception by video calling on a projector screen, we will let the photos speak for themselves on how much that must have meant to the couple. Something else these two did that we thought was so cool was sharing their vows with one another privately before the ceremony.

We are all about empowering our couples to do more things on their day that MEAN SOMETHING to them and these two shared that intimate moment to tell one another how they felt in the privacy and safety of each other’s company. Jen wrote a line in her questionnaire that just resonated with me so deeply and I feel like it’s the perfect line to sum up her love story with David. She wrote “Good things take time, and great things are worth the wait.” Destiny has been waiting for the right time for these two kindred spirits since they were nine and the time is now. Check out their wedding love story below.

Love Story as told by Jen…

We met at church at the age of 9 and have been friends for over 20 years. We never attended the same school, yet our friend groups kept overlapping, and we continued to stay in touch over the years. Soccer games here, Dinners out there, and a Schnepp-a-palooza or two kept us coming back to one another.

A day trip to Sedona left us both wondering how we could’ve missed the signs before, as our friendship started to transform. A few months later we both attended weddings solo since they fell on the same date, several states apart, and it was obvious we were both missing one another, and falling head over heels.

Last June, we traveled to Colombia together for a much-needed vacay. It was on a rooftop in Cartagena that David got on one knee and asked me the most important question of my life. The location was romantic, intimate, and absolutely perfect. We soaked in the love and total giddiness for the rest of our trip. We can’t wait for our wedding day and can’t believe it’s almost here. Good things take time, and great things are worth the wait.
