We are always excited when we get to return to Cordiano Winery in Escondido, California for a beautiful wedding. Winery weddings are always a change up away from the beaches of San Diego and provide unbelievable photo opportunities. It was a true pleasure to be the photographer for Lacey and Morten.

There is no question it was a hot day in Escondido with the thermometer reading a toasty 98 degrees when I arrived at the Ranch at Bandy Canyon where the girls where getting ready.  This was my first time to the Ranch at Bandy Canyon in Escondido, and it was an incredible site.  The girls had their own cabin, and the grounds made for some incredible pictures of the dress and the ladies when they were all ready to head out. Its proximity to Cordiano Winery makes it an excellent place for getting ready, as it is only about a 5 minute drive to the winery. Lacey had a beautiful effortless bridal vibe going with a dainty rhinestone headpiece and her long hair in a loose romantic braid by Sara Vanderstelt of Svglamour who specializes in boho bridal hair. Her wedding dress was simple and elegant, an all satin sheath with a deep v neck and open back accented by a timeless cathedral length veil.

Kimberly Sisti, director of weddings at Cordiano Winery had the venue looking incredible.  She channeled Lacey’s color scheme of pinks and emerald green to create gorgeous full bouquets bursting with summer color. We have done so many weddings with Kim and whenever she is on a wedding with us we know we can expect the best in floral, pastry design and of course coordination, she definitely gets the award for coordinator of the year.  The table settings were beautiful, and the breeze coming through all the open windows provided a much needed relief from the heat. Not to mention those gorgeous mountain views as the sun sinks into the horizon. The ceremony was gorgeous with the mountainous view lending itself to the earthy elegant vibe. Cocktail hour followed shortly after on the lower terrace.  A perfect opportunity to steal the newlyweds away for a photo opportunity over in the lush grape vines.  We kept the session short, because knowing Cordiano Winery I knew there would be an even better opportunity for photos when the sun sets, and we definitely made that happen!

I want to thank Morten and Lacey for choosing to make memories with Emry Photography.   We wish you many years of happiness!
